Services

From preconception to postnatal and beyond, I am here to help.

I set up my breastfeeding support practice in 2016 to provide feeding and bonding support & information for families as they grow from preconception onward.

Services are tailored to your needs and include antenatal workshops, feeding support, advocacy, and training for professional development.

I am based in the Midlands but if you are not local to me please do not hesitate to enquire – I may be able to make arrangements for appointments further afield.

I can work with you and your family to tailor support around you all and for as long as you wish.  Appointments might take place in your home, at clinic (covid permitting), or in another setting of your choice – parents have even had appointments in parks or cafes as they become more confident.  Video calls are also possible.

If you are based near Stourbridge and interested in attending a support group please get in touch.

Before your little one/s arrive you might choose to take part in group or 1 to 1 antenatal classes on feeding and bonding, a 1 to 1 session on antenatal colostrum collection, or a hypnobirthing course.

Individual Postnatal appointments

Your initial appointment is usually a 90 minute session which includes taking a full history as well as support around any issues you are experiencing.  If you think tongue-tie may be an issue for your baby this may be looked at during this visit with a view to referral if you would like it to be divided.  The session can be in your own home, via video call, or in clinic.

Price:  £75 (telephone contact is included in the price).

Follow-up appointments are reduced to £45 if booked at the end of your session.  These appointments can be shorter as we have completed your history, and take up less of your time – generally lasting an hour.

Mileage is charged at 45ppm outside of a 10 mile radius of my base.

Travelling Antenatal Workshops for groups or individuals

These sessions are 2 hrs duration (refreshments and break included!) and we aim to cover any questions you might have about feeding and bonding with your baby before and after birth as well as all of the questions you didn’t know you had!  They are interactive and involve some group and individual activities which you can choose to get involved in or sit out and observe.

Sessions are inclusive but can be delivered with a specific focus for example LGBTQI+, surrogacy teams, and under special circumstances such as around cancer diagnosis and treatment, mastectomy or insufficient glandular tissue.

Group price: £45 per pregnant participant (partners, Intended Parents, etc. do not pay separately but will need to book before the day).

Individual price: Tailored packages, please contact me to discuss further.

Hypnobirthing

Hypnobirthing techniques help keep you in a position of control over your experience and can be used in the antenatal as well as postnatal period.  They might be used as part of another session such as a lactation home visit, or can be learnt as part of a course over 5 sessions.

Price:  £220

Corporate and business lactation support services

Corporate consultations & workshops – Supporting Breastfeeding at work

World Health Organisation recommendations are for exclusive breastfeeding for up to 6 months of age, with continued breastfeeding along with appropriate complementary foods up to 2 years of age and beyond.  The parents you employ have rights at work but there’s plenty in it for you too.

These sessions cover rights and responsibilities, but also go into the benefits to employers of supporting parents to continue to provide breastmilk for their babies.

Day nurseries, fostering agencies and more…

Does your business or organisation provide a service to pregnant or breastfeeding parents?  We can provide training to your staff to develop and update their skills and build confidence.
